Villa Gils is a gorgeous traditional 4-bedroom villa located right by the ocean, in the local village of Mendira, next to Candidasa. This is the perfect accommodation for those looking to stay by the sea and experience a more authentic and peaceful Balinese holiday.
The stunning East coast of the island is a relatively unspoiled area, compared to the bustling South, and offers amazing beaches surmounted by the majestic volcano Agung, untouched nature and fantastic diving spots. Mendira beach itself, where the villa is located, is a wonderful place to go swimming or to snorkel around. A short drive will also bring guests to Candidasa, a popular yet tranquil tourist town with some nice restaurants, bars and shops.
Outdoor living areas
The property enjoys a large gorgeous garden, filled with tropical plants and towering palm trees, an exotic private oasis that guests will surely love. This ample space also features beautifully manicured lawns and a splendid 25-meter long swimming pool with a safe shallow area perfect for kids.
On the stone pool deck are also several comfortable sun loungers with parasols, perfect to relax or work on a tan. Around the pool we also find two gorgeous traditional thatch-roofed balé (gazebos), one fitted with a sofa and chairs, while one is home to the alfresco dining area.
Indoor living areas
The living area of the villa is located on the ground floor of the main pavilion. This is a gorgeous open-sided space that has been beautifully furnished and decorated, blending effortlessly traditional furnishings with modern facilities.
Overlooking the beautiful garden this room features two lounge corners, one fitted with a flat screen TV, separated by a stylish cocktail bar with stools and a kitchenette.
On the upper level of this same pavilion is also a lovely lounge terrace, perfect for sunset cocktails and to enjoy views of the ocean.
Bedrooms
Villa Gils features four beautiful and comfortable bedrooms, all air-conditioned and fitted with private tropical bathrooms.
The master suite is located on the first floor of the main building, and enjoys access to the upper ocean-view terrace. This room features a beautiful and romantic four-poster bed. Next to it is another bedroom, furnished with twin beds (that can be easily converted into a king size bed), which makes it perfect to host kids.
The two remaining guest bedrooms are located in the stand-alone traditional thatch-roofed building. Both suites come with a patio overlooking the pool and feature a canopied king size bed.
Staff
The villa boasts a professional and friendly team of staff that will look after the guests during their stay. The local manager leads the team and will be happy to answer any question or request the guests might have. The staff also includes maids, maintenance and security guards. To make the guests' stay even more comfortable a delicious daily breakfast is included in the rate!
