Bang Thao is a spectacular open bay located on Phuket's northwestern side, with one of the longest beaches of the island. Positioned between Surin Beach and Nai Thon, this beach offers its best during the dry season, when swimming and paddle boarding are excellent. Amazing resorts, restaurants and beach clubs line the long sandy beach, while north of the bay are two gorgeous and small white sand coves with some fine corals, Layan Beach and Banana Beach, the perfect spots for those seeking quieter surroundings.
