Bali's green heart, Tabanan is one of the largest regions of the island and it's just waiting to be explored.
This verdant area is the best example of Bali's rice-growing traditions and includes the beautiful Jatiluwih village, famous all over the world for its spectacular rice terraces that still use the traditional Balinese irrigation system. But this huge region has so much more to offer. The regency goes from the black sanded beach on the island West coast to the beautiful Lake Beratan and includes two of the most important temples of the island, the sea temple of Tanah Lot and Pura Ulun Danu Beratan. Other notable attractions are the Sangeh Monkey Forest, Pura Luhur Batukaru (another very sacred site for Balinese people), Mount Batukaru and Bali Butterfly Park. An entire world to discover!
